Child and adolescent therapy requires an understanding of child development, temperament, family systems, the language of play and the influence of present day culture. Seeing your child struggle can be overwhelming, anxiety provoking and exhausting.

Children and adolescents are seen with their parent(s)/ caregiver(s) for the first session to gather information about the concerns and to help make your child feel comfortable. Initially, it is recommended your child come weekly to establish momentum, as progress continues the sessions can be moved to bi-weekly and beyond.

Parents who are separated and share custody must both consent to the child being involved in therapy. Children function best when parents are able to put aside their differences to work together for the best interest of their child.
